The Parish Pastoral Council consists of the Parish Priest, the Parish Treasurer, and twelve elected members, who each serve for a period of three years. Elections for four new members (to replace the four who are standing down) are held in the summer, usually in early July.

Meetings of the Parish Council are held monthly, usually on the first Wednesday of the month. A chairman is elected by the members at the first meeting in the autumn. The chairman may be re-elected for a second year. A secretary (who takes minutes of the meetings) is also appointed, and may an elected member, or a non-elected parishioner.

The agenda for the meetings attempts to keep a balance between items of pastoral concern, and the more mundane, but essential, matters relating to building, finance etc. Each member of the Parish Council has his/her own responsibilities, eg Youth, Liturgy, Ecumenism, etc.
